I've mainly made up names for characters in comic strips and prank letters:
Joel Bedford Steven Holladay Justin Reynolds Chad Crockett Randy Belton Jess Northrup Helen Bishop Paul W. Dziewialtowski Joey Morris Josiah C. Kerr Stanley Washington etc.
It's always more than just the name, but inventing a story for each character as well, because then I can authentically speak from that character's perspective. Just a little bit of dissociative fugue to make the day interesting. :)

my brother likes to call me funny names, but generally nothing with a last name. just things like:
borth
lorena
willoughby
kanga
ignomius
etc...he just likes repeating silly words and using them as a reference to me.
